Official I'm embarrased to be an ISU wrestling fan thread

Wow, all I can say is Wow. I thought KJ could get us there and was being patient. NCAA tourney was a complete and total embarrasement.

Time to make a change, it can't get much worse.

For those that were like me and hanging out for hope, check the team standings at the end of this tourney and see how many finish above us and then check to see if you really don't think even with the hole Cael put us in we realistically shouldn't be better than that.

I think most Cyclone fans, like me, have just gotten to the point that they don't care about wrestling at all anymore.

I think that says everything you need to know about the current state of the wrestling program.... not good at all.

I really like KJ, but the results are pretty bad so far. Really hope that next year we turn the corner and see a lot of improvement.

Yeah ISU wrestling has hit rock bottom. It's absolutely pathetic. Hopefully some of the recruits KJ has coming in like Meeks and McCaulley can help turn things around.

It has gotten pretty bad. I'll admit my patience is waning. The question of course is, if you make a move to replace KJ, who do you replace him with? Will he be able to convince our recruits to stay? Does he have recruits at his current school that will follow him to ISU?

This is the first year since 2008 that ISU has not had a national champion, and the first year since 2003 that ISU has not had someone wrestling in a title match.

It hasn't been that long since Cael left us with little. You have to give him time to work. This year's recruiting class looks good. I can get encouragement from that.

I am not embarrased, but the result is unacceptable under any circumstance. ISU isn't the only school out there with guys hurt. The program needs a change.

Logranqueso posts on the Iowa site as well and seems to just want to stir trouble on sites like this. I don't think he's a fan of anything.

If your not frustrated with ISU wrestling after today, your not a fan.
