Thanks, considering the source, I'll take it.

Clone83 - The roster is incorrect. If you go to the year before, it shows Trent as a Redshirt Freshman. He is in Boaz Beard's class

    Re: Updated line up info

I agree with Clone83 as far as progress. We have to eliminate bad losses and win when we're suppose to. Finch went thru a stretch last year and wrestled McD, Waters, Patterson, Sanders in a short period of time. So its hard to judge win/loss record. I look for progress and hope for good health.

I know we have 6 guys going to University Nationals this weekend and had 2 at Junior World team trials. I know John Meeks has been going up to Ames to workout with Troy Nickerson as often as possible. So many of our guys are training year aroound.

buf - I agreed with you before.

It is crystal clear from his bio. In composing that long post, I mistakenly picked up the false information from the roster.

I talked to one of the wrestlers and Mikey is up at 195 and is wrestling freestyle at 173. He told me Mikey might go down to 165 for the season.

    149 - McCauley, Mayfield
157 - Trent Weatherman, maybe Aaron Sorenson
165 - Tanner Weatherman, Mike Moreno, Logan Molina
    174 - Mikey England
184 - Boaz Beard, maybe Tyler Christensen
197 - Kyven Gadsen, Cole Shafer, Trevor Voelker
Hwt - Matt Gibson, Tyler Swope
So after this weekend and all the news:

    125-Finch, Larson, Bauer
    133-Meeks, Hallman, Cash
    141-Goettl, Blake Meeks?
    149-Mayfield, G. Moreno

    174-England
    184-Beard, Christensen
    197-Gadson, Shafer, Voelker

No denying losing McCauley hurts. 133 and 149 look like big holes possibly. 157 could be interesting depending how Trent's neck has recovered and if Moreno intends to be 157 or 165.

Max Mayfield was looking really good the season before last. I can only hope he's recovered from his injury and is ready to go. I think he can score lots of points for us if healthy. I'm moving on from the DM talk. He was never here, the kid seems flakey to me. Good luck in life without a degree. We are who we are, coach knows it.

McCauley could very well do nothing of merit in the sport. He was not close to making the team this year, and will be lucky to after 4 more years, assuming he can stay with it.He will have no degree, and no chance to coach at a NCAA insitution. Not a smart decision.

That line-up will scare Grand View; that's about it.
