Glad to see that the move is happening. Our facilities have been subpar for a while and getting worse as other schools invested and we didn't. I can't wait to see the new room finished.
I wonder where the team in training in the meantime. Ames High? The Judo room in Forker?
From what I've heard, the Olympic sports will take over the weight room in the Olsen Building (currently the football weight room), and wrestling will be able to expand into the then-vacated Olympic weight room at Lied.
The new football facility will have brand new equipment for the weight room.
Judoka, can you confirm that the wrestling room is moving?

I was just going off the facebook link that implied a move. It doesn't anymore. Still, even just an expansion will be nice. Hopefully they can find money for a new facility before too long, even it is a joint facility with gymnastics or something like that. We are far behind our competition for recruits in that area.
Just within driving range Iowa completed a big upgrade, UNI has a big one underway, and Missouri recently announced a significant upgrade to wrestling facilities as well. I'm not sure about Nebraska and Minnesota.
Buf is correct, room is enlarging from 3 mats to 4 mats - the lounge room and film room will move a little and be larger and nicer. i was told that they will be knocking down walls this week and the project will be completed in September. The guys as well as the campers are training down on the football turf in the Lead center
We pictures get posted will someone please start a thread about it on Baylor's website - maybe they will get the point that we aren't that interested in their new stadium.
