Heck, sports is all about comparing people/teams that have never directly competed against each other. Do you even watch any sports?

They showed a couple of the 66kg matches and then cut to gymnastics saying that they'd be back to Wrestling later and mentioned Varner's match... So it'll be shown, just no idea when. Hopefully soon.

My local station shows wrestling finals in the 1:45-5pm timing. Could be any time.

nbcolympics.com has wrestling scheduled on NBC from 1:45 to 3:00 (3:00 to 5:00 is the men's volleyball gold medal match). Hopefully rhythmic gymnastics will be over very soon.

I'll bet they are holding his match replay till late in the time lot to end on a high note for USA viewers.

Yeah, I'm guessing close to 3PM is a good bet for that reason. I'm just going to leave the TV on in the background so I don't accidentally miss it in case they show it earlier.

Sounds like they are replaying Varner's match soon.

NBC has the wrestleback on right now, his match should be coming up shortly.

Congrats to Jake! Good to see a Cyclone reach the highest achievement available in sports.


On a side note, I wish folkstyle ("American") wrestling was as popular worldwide and in the Olympics too. I just feel that there's more action and excitement in folkstyle than freestyle or greco-roman.
