Iowa at Iowa State - January 11, 1987

Here is a collection of photos from the Iowa meet in 1987. ISU won this one 23-12 and then Iowa won the meet in Iowa City 18-15. Then later that year the Cyclones won the NCAA's. I got a great job that night with an offshoot of Newsweek called Newsweek on Campus because they were doing a story on Dan Gable and wanted some shots of him and also showing the crowd. So a lot of these are shot wide to show the spectators. I still have a copy of the magazine so I'll scan the article and add that.

I sure do miss that Big 8 logo on the Hilton floor. =(

I'll never forget the "X" on the Iowa singlet that year. Made winning NCAAs that much better.
