Nick Fanthorpe
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Former Iowa State All-American Nick Fanthorpe makes the move over from resident athlete with the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club to Assistant Coach (volunteer). He was there training. I am happy we got Troy Nickerson as an assistant at Iowa State, but Nick would have been good too. Glad he is getting some coaching experience. Never know when we might need somebody in the coaching staff and I think Nick would be good. Academically and Athletically good.

Having Nickerson in the room seems like a bigger name to me. I wish we could get some younger guys at the heavier weight classes though.

Fanthorpe was good, but Nickerson was a champ and much more widely known I believe. Anyone know what Rey is doing after college? He'd be nice to have around.

Not really surprised, his wife works for the PSU wrestling program as well and he's been there all summer. His brother told me that him and Cael are really close.
