Re: Season starts in ~2 weeks and this forum is quiet as a mouse
Sorensen indeed committed to Iowa today, there is an article in the DMR. Are we sure these OTC guys are coming on a recruiting visit or are they just coming to work out at our regional training center. It scares me we are going the OTC route just because of the Destin commit/decommit, if they end up coming here I'm all for it as they are very talented and could help us a lot.

I don't disagree with this route. The OTC is the most dominant recruiter of HS talent these days because of their deepr pockets in regards to compensation. There really needs to be something done to help bring more aid into wrestling programs. Title IX needs to die at this point. Those that say it doesn't hurt men's sports need to be throat-punched IMO.

Lots of unfortunates and young last year. We are still young but more experienced. Finch, Goettl, Beard, Gibson working hard. Some good depth at some weight, that lacked (England and Ta Weatherman). 20 guys going to Kaye Young open tourney at NIACC (Mason City) Saturday. Nickerson really helping out. Kyven appears to be healthy, but Cole Shafer also battling for 197.
Most of rest was talking about National Dual format, KJ likes 24 team format, but put on hold. Lots of talk on that same line about promoting the sport and getting more media coverage.

I would not be surprised if all 10 weights are ranked as we get into the season. Hopefully "The Nickerson Effect" happens and "the S&C Coach Beau effect" also happens.
Less injuries and stronger improvement from light weights.
