    Notes from today's (11-26-12) Kevin Jackson press converence

    --- Looked tired and flat yesterday. Coach takes responsibility for that. No time to hang head with a trip to the University of Iowa this week.

    --- Coach still believes the team will be better this year.

    --- Road trip to Iowa on Saturday. 7:30 start time at Carver Hawkeye Arena.

    --- On John Meeks. "He's a winner. He's a champion. I don't worry about John at all." A win on Saturday would show him where he is at regarding his ability to compete for national honors.

    --- The team is excited for Saturday. Says there is a heightened sense of preparation for the upcoming dual.

    --- On Michael Moreno at 165...."His overall commitment to wrestling" is a big reason for recent success. "He just has more confidence. He believes in himself and it is showing in practice."

    --- On Ryak Finch at 125...Not wrestling his best. Conversations being held behind closed doors to get him back on track.

    --- Says team was mad and angry after Sunday's effort. Team knows they are better than how they performed. Team learned some things about themselves. Had a team meeting after loss that "wasn't a friendly conversation."

    Man, losing a dual to OLd Dominion at home is not what this team needed to start the season. How can coach expect us to be a better team than last year?

    The program has not done to hot lately and that needs to change I do know what the answer is, but I hope this year it turns around.
