I see Loren Williams won his first match by Major 10 - 1

Bubba Hernandez and Austin Anderson will be wrestling here at 2PM when 3A starts.

Anyone on here have a Son or relative wrestling this weekend?

I don't have a son or relative there, but do take pix for our local paper and just got home from the 1A session. Very good wresting today. Our two wrestlers are on the back half and I got some outstanding pix of both of their two matches along with others.

Maybe you weren't watching the match, but did you catch how Jimmy Abbell from Colfax-Mingo at 106 looked today? I used to teach that kid when I was there.

Didn't see his first match, but he looked good in his second match. I was pretty impressed. His next match could be a lot tougher because he either gets Fowler of Alburnett kid or Muckey of Woodbury Central.

My brother lives in Colfax and his daughter is a junior.

Really? That's nuts. If she was there in 8th grade, she would have been my last 8th grade class in that district. If you don't mind my asking, I'd be curious to know her last name if she was at that time to see if it rings any bells. If you don't mind, just PM me the name. I have a lot of fond memories of that district and that 8th grade class.

Jake Rhoads from Gilbert lost first round

Jake Rhoads went 0-2 and was eliminated from the tournament. Still a Congrats to Coach Rhoads' son for making it to State.

Football recruits:

QB Joel Lanning won by Dec. 9-3 in the First Round
OL Ryan Glenn went 0-2 and was eliminated from the tournament

120lb - Austin Anderson loses by Dec., still alive in Consolations

145lb - Bubba Hernandez wins by Pin in 3:25

220lb - Joel Lanning loses by Dec., still alive in Consolations

Guy Lanning lost to, Gremmel of Dubuque Hempstead, is just a Freshman. 32-9 on the year. Might be one to watch for a future HWT.
