We get beat by Hofstra and Penn State and there's nobody talking about it? I've been disappointed with Fanthorpe and Gallick all year but this takes the cake.

some times it is hard to talk about things that shocked the Cy world this much.....just imagine how dead it would have been after our first round exodus of the MBB dance a few yrs back.
What were the results? I do not see anything on cyclones.com.
I think ISU finished about where they should have.
No, we should have finished much better than that. We're young but have a lot of talent. I'm not going overboard and saying we should fire Cael or anything like that but we need to get better before the tournament.
we should never fire cael. idc. unless he pulls a eustachy, he should coach Iowa State until time ends.

I agree disappointing but one must remember that in wrestling its all about the natl finals and the natl championship!!

They better decide to start wrestling at least 2 weeks before National Championships. It will be hard to do well at Nationals if only 5 guys make it.Quote:

Wasn't Penn State the #1 seed in the tournament? That wasn't a big shocker, although we probably should have won.
The Minnesota win probably got things pumped up a little too high. I think Minny wasn't overly worried about that loss at the time because they will be ready when it counts- tournament time. While the duals were disappointing, can we hope that we're sandbagging until the tourney??
