#2 Recruit in Nation to ISU
The #2 recruit in the 2008-2009 recruiting class will be a Cyclone.
David Taylor of St. Paris Graham will be entering his senior season next year with his college plans already set. Taylor will be competing for his 4th Ohio State Wrestling Title. Taylor was ranked #1 in the Nation at 112 all last season and looks to move up a weight or two in order to prepare for college. Taylor normally walks around at 130, so he was cutting quite a bit of weight. Taylor is a 5 time Fargo National Champion with 3 titles in Freestyle and 2 titles in Greco.
Very big pick up for Cael and the Cyclones.

Re: #2 Recruit in Nation to ISU
I've been reading that he's being recruited to wrestle 149-165 in college... still lots of room for him to grow into these weights. If nothing else, he could take over in that 133-141 range when Fanthorpe and Gallick graduate.

I could take him. Good to take him before Ohio st could.

By the looks of this picture (top wrestler) I don't think he will ever wrestle in the 149-165 pound range.

Re: #2 Recruit in Nation to ISU
I know he plans on wrestling 125 this year at Fargo and anywhere from 125-135 for his senior season, so maybe 149 isn't such a long shot afterall...

Re: #2 Recruit in Nation to ISU
I saw that picture too and thought the same thing, but supposedly he's still growing and is wrestling 119/125 this season. Still plenty of time before he's in the line-up so I think 133/141 could be his spot in the line-up in the future, maybe higher...

I really like the fact that he will make Andrew Long better over the next 4 seasons.

Re: #2 Recruit in Nation to ISU
Found the article where he said that colleges are recruiting him for the 149-165 pound range. Pretty interesting read. Done before he made his choice, but it is pretty obvious his aspirations are for Olympic Gold. He definitely chose the right coach to get him to his goal.
