Hasn't Cale had Hilton set up so only half of the arena is used and the other half is curtained off? Is that for every meet?

May my postings be polite and not misunderstood. (And hopefully funny on occasion.) -
Re: ISU Wouldn't Mind Seeing Full House At Carver-Hawkeye
not the case, last year for the iowa meet hilton was still half closed

Re: ISU Wouldn't Mind Seeing Full House At Carver-Hawkeye
Hilton (normally 14,300) is set up for 8,000 for wrestling. For the Iowa dual last year, it was changed to accommodate 9,000 -- actual attendance was 8,998.
With the exception of Iowa duals, I can't remember the last time there were more than 5,000 at an event. MAYBE for Heskett and Cael's last home dual.
The current setup makes perfect sense.

Re: ISU Wouldn't Mind Seeing Full House At Carver-Hawkeye
yeah, especially since this way more people get to be closer to the mat. With the mat down on one end of hilton (instead of the middle like the iowa dual 3 years ago) three sets of seats are right next to the mat, instead of two. Carver is a nice wrestling arena (and by that i mean the seat arrangement is nice...) since all the seats are essentially funnelled down to the mat

Re: ISU Wouldn't Mind Seeing Full House At Carver-Hawkeye
Also, they would have a lot of mad season ticket holders if they moved the mat to the middle of Hilton for one meet unless they changed the seating for it.

Re: ISU Wouldn't Mind Seeing Full House At Carver-Hawkeye
I believe Cael said he would rather have 8,000 people crammed into half of the arena than 11,000 spread out over the whole arena.

The current setup makes perfect sense. SELL OUT!! The first and best victory is to conquer self; to be conquered by self is of all things most shameful and vile. - Plato

The Cyclones are going to be going into a Hostile environment on Saturday. Does anyone know if it will be on PBS or on the Radio?

I haven't had the chance to look - is there likely a live intermat radio feed?
