One Super Meet once a year or twice?

IT wasn't but just a few years ago . . Iowa didn't want to wrestle ISU twice a year. In the RAG this morning, we see a shift in positions.

Personally, once a year is enough seeing "Roid Rage" Brands tramping around outside the mat like a caged gorilla . . . somebody needs to remind him this is not ultimate fighting.

I would also wait until Cael gets all the pieces together with his national recruiting. Hold these yahoos off for a couple more years . . because I have a sneaking suspicion this deal is a pre emptive strike to deal a death blow to Cael's recruiting in Iowa. I don't trust Iowa . . never have . . never will.

Anyway, I think it would be fun to have it back like that. We dropped it in the middle of Iowa's 15 year winning streak if I remember right. I also didn't see anywhere in that article that says that Iowa or Iowa State is against it, but that it seems like the Big Ten schedule has kept this from continuing. I guess it sounds like you're more afraid of losing to Iowa because you don't think we have the horses.

Just kidding. I think twice a year would be great. It would give both teams a one more competetive dual to prepare them for Nationals.

So Brands says that he wants to wrestle twice but unfortunately he can't because he doesn't have the time in January. Still seems like he's making excuses as to why he doesn't want to wrestle ISU twice.

That is good if ISU can win its share of these meets. Right now, I don't see it happening. Maybe in a couple of years . . but not yet.
