Cornell will be very tough.

I expect ISU to be down going into the Final (2) matches, needing wins from both Varner and Big Z to secure the win.

The UNL bus battery went dead in the hotel lot in Waterloo Friday night and the UNO bus driver raced back to pick up the team yesterday to get them to the weigh-in JIT. The UNO driver wrestled with the UNL driver back in the eighties with UNO.

We really need bonus points and an upset to pull this off. Cornell is strong.

I hope we can bounce back after the weak performance against BS. Although they shows they were very tough.

If ISU is the 2nd ranked team in the nation why was the Boise State match so close and why are we anticipating a close match or even a loss to Cornell?

Well, Cornell is ranked 3rd and we have somewhat underachieved in non-conference match ups in recent past. (just my opinion)

What about BSU? When it comes to a duals meet like this in some matches you expect to win do you rest some of your best guys so they are fresher for upcomming matches?

Its all about Match Ups:

Lets say we have the #4 Ranked kid at a weight, that is great. But, if they have the #1 kid at that weight, it could be a loss.

I hate the way we match up with Cornell.

If we can get by Cornell, I love our chances vs Iowa. Without Flack at 125 for Iowa, we have a Huge Advantage. A win at 125 would have won the Dual in IOWA CITY.

It isn't all about who is ranked higher. If it were, they wouldn't even wrestle. Wrestling styles, maturity, experience, and knowing your opponent factor into the equation. We have a shot at jumping out to a lead and if we can steal one from their big three we should be fine with Varner and Z closing.
