Re: Cael is going to make changes
I have faith this team will put one hell of a run together in St. Louis and you will see a National Championship banner in Hilton.
If they aren't motivated now...when will they be?

It would appear to me that Oklahoma and Oklahoma State both being not as good don't hurt things. The last two years were the first two years since the Big XII conference was formed that neither Oklahoma or Oklahoma State were in the top two.
I'll be the first to admit that I know crap all about wrestling, but it's apparent that there's a bit of the "Michael Jordan" syndrome going on here.

How bad has it got that now we are complaining about the coach in the one sport we have been consistantly good at? We haven't won an NCAA title in 21 years, we are so close, and you are complaining now?

Re: Cael is going to make changes
Doesn't surprise me that a Cael, someone who was constantly pushing himself to be the best wrestler he could be, is pushing himself to be the best coach he can be.
The one wrestler I was surprised to see wrestle poorly was Cyler. Talk about a tough shadow to be in.

Re: Cael is going to make changes
He was still aggressive but they kept countering him perfectly. He has some things to work on. I think that's the fight Cael was talking about. They need to finish their shots and not do them half-heartedly.

Re: Cael is going to make changes
The team just needs a little more "Chuck Jean" in them. It's coming. I have all the faith in the world in Cael.

Re: Cael is going to make changes
Watching the Cornell match it was obvious form the start that they were the aggressor. Clark and Fanthorpe came out like they wanted to tie it up and the Cornell wrestlers came out to score points. I just wonder if this is also to the lightweight guys to get their act together. They need to come out and set the tone in dual meets.

Re: Cael is going to make changes
Tom Peckham!!! I know him well and graduated with Gable (HS)! I could tell you some stories about Peckham for sure. Was once noted as the toughest man alive! Came in second or third in Nationals "with a cracked shinbone!"
