He knows how to develop a program from the little kids up. He's really one he!! of a coach.
I was on Rick Caldwell's wrestling team for his first three years at Ames High. He's a great wrestling coach; unfortunately, I can't say we accomplished anything like what he has done at WSR. I do think that success in a high school program is largely a function of how big wrestling is among elementary aged kids in a community. Not too big in Ames.
