Big Z wrestled Keddy?? He must have cut some serious weight then...since Keddy wrestles 184. Erekson pinned Zabriskie last year at NCAAs, but won't be wrestling Sunday evening...as he is still fighting an injury I believe.

One thing that is really different this year is that the guys seem to be going for bonus points. Bonus points have killed us the last couple of years against UI. I want to see the guys push the action all the way off the mat. Not willing to quit, only to go back to the center and have to restart. I look for State to be tons more aggressive, not just willing to settle for a one point win. KJ won't be intimidated.

I would say Iowa is favored in 3 of the matches, ISU favored in 2 of the matches, and the other 5 are complete toss ups. It's an upset if ISU wins this, make no mistake.

Borschel at 174 and
Keddy at 184 for Iowa.

Varner and Z for ISU.

125 is going to be a great battle between 2 freshman both ranked similarly.
133 depends if Fanthorpe is ready for Dennis. If he is, going to be another great battle.
141 Gallick is ranked higher, but has never beaten Leclere, who is subbing for Marion/Slaton until next semester. Both are out for 1st semester.
157 Not sure who will even wrestle for either school, but I believe I heard Ballweg beat Sorensen earlier this year, so ISU has to hope it is Carr.

My gut says ISU 125, Iowa 133, ISU 141, Iowa 149, Iowa 157, Iowa 165-184, ISU 197-HWT.

157 - ISU 6 UI 10 (Who really knows on this one we both aren't good)
165 - ISU 9 UI 10 (Jacksons influence on ISU starts to show)

197 - ISU 14 UI 18
HWT - ISU 18 UI 18

Lots of unknowns for this meet...With Fanthorpe and Gallick be healthy? Will Jackson get ISU to score bonus points when we are heavily favored? Can Reader score on Morningstall? Can burk and who ever actually wrestles at 184 keep it to 3 points? Who wrestles at 157?

Lots of swing points here, could be a meet for the ages. If everything swings our way ISU gets a close win or tie, if the breaks fall even UI gets a close win, if UI gets all the the breaks big win for UI. ISU will have to do something we are known for doing, wrestle above expectations. I will be there mat side cheering on the clones, everyone remember to be vocal for Iowa stalling especially the 165 match we really need to make sure Morningstall doesn't get away with another cheap win with Reader having all the action.
