A friend of mine that watched on IPTV said on that scramble in OT when he and Z got tangled up his knee got twisted real bad. To the point they thought the ref should stop it for being dangerous. Said he limped off and his knee cap looked all sorts of messed up.

I'm sorry to hear that. I was watching the coaches meet afterwards and didn't follow him off the mat. Hope everything is ok with his knee.

Not sure how this site feels about links, but flowrestling has the matches posted online. At about the 10:45 mark of the Fanthorpe match the Iowa coach in the white shirt at the top of the screen makes the gesture. It might be Schwab, not Terry Brands.

Raising had to have been injured. He gimped off of that mat pretty fast after the match, and you could see the pain in his face. He damn near hit the floor when he came off of the stage. Not sure if anyone else saw that.

There are no hawkeye posters saying he did it, it's ISU posters on Iowa's board, saying he did it. I was at the meet and didn't see Terry do it. Not saying he didn't do it, but I didn't see it. Varner was an idiot for doing it, he's a wrestler, do your duty and get off the mat. Leave that crap to the coaches, especially when you are losing to Iowa time and time again. What kind of moron taunts the team he's losing to?
