He was still talking smack after the meet in the pressor. The guy needs to wake up and see that ISU is catching his program. It almost seems to me he had his team way up for this meet and worked them hard leading up to it, something that will could haunt him come March. IMO he things KJ is going to do great things in the future at ISU and be a royal pain in his *** in years to come.

I don't think Brands is too worried about anyone catching Iowa anytime soon, whether or not he should. He has Iowa back to the dominate force they are known for being, and it doesn't look like they are showing any signs of slowing down. While he is pretty arrogant and intense until someone makes him stop they why shouldn't he be.

Yes, other coaches who are ******** are still generally gracious after victories - it's so easy to be. It's even easy to fake it if you have to.
Brands is a jerk all the time.

The next few years will be interesting. Let KJ get his kids in and the current guys to wrestle his way ISU will be back on top as well. Iowa's wrestling room will start to thin out this year as well, and it will be intersting to see how that all pans out.

What about the couple ISU wrestlers that taunted Brands and their Iowa opponents after their match? Are they douches too? Just want to clarify.

Yes I do believe that they stooped to Iowa's level by responding to Brand's breaking motion earlier in the meet. I hope they don't do this in the future.

This. But, we thin out a lot after this year as well. Iowa loses 8 starters along with Slaton, retaining only Mcdonough and whoever wrestles 157 for the year. We lose 6 starters keeping Long, Carr/Sorenson, Reader, and Ward. It is going to be very interesting. Both teams will definitely have some horses finally breaking the lineup who have been getting whipped the last couple years by the likes of Varner/Keddy.

Exactly. Sides are supposed to hate each other in a rivalry. These people that cheer for both teams when they aren't playing each other need to sack up.

Start to thin out? Brands has the #1 ranked class coming in next year with 7 top 100 kids.
