National Semi Finals

I final got the score on the quarterfinals where we spanked Maryland. I have tried googling Cliff Keen and all the wresting sites but cant get good info. Who do we have in the Semi's? The team looks like it is wrestling pretty good and racking up some bonus points.

There were links both on the front page and the wrestling schedule page at cyclones.com that would have led you to the live scoring pages for both of today's duals.

and Dalton pinned one top 10 ranked kid this weekend no reason he can't do another. Z is available if needed I believe. My question is where is Thompson?

If KJ can get this team past OSU....count me as a believer. This is EXACTLY the type of match we would lose with Cael at the helm.

We were posting about it while the dual was going on...ISU looked good. Fanthorpe needs to step up for us and be more consistent. Long is wrestling very well. Jensen hooked up a cradle when he was getting beat to win. Mueller is wrestling consistent and getting wins. Sorensen is competing well and won twice today at 157. Reader was explosive in his win. Burk wrestled hard but lost, put up a good effort though in my opinion. Ward was aggressive in his win, which I think is a key for him. Varner won a close match 5-4 over #4 Taylor. Simonson took on the HWT role and won which was nice. Z, I believe the announcer said, is having some elbow issues, but did compete in the first round dual. May be able to go tomorrow. I watched it live on www.livesportsvideo.com, it was a little choppy at first but was good enough. We'll be posting on it tomorrow if that doesn't work for you.

Couldn't agree more, the past three years someone snuck up on us and beat us when they shouldn't have and it was usually because we were trying to be technicians rather than the aggressors. I like the way Coach Jackson has them going right now. Should be a fun day tomorrow!!

I could never quite figure out the "Sanderson style". It seemed that his wrestlers would win matches they should, and lose when they were close. So frustrating.

So happy that KJ's wrestlers force the action. That means they are setting the tone and playing their game. IIRC, wasn't that KJ's style as a wrestler back in the day? Wasn't he an aggressive, go get them sort of wrestler?

Yes. KJ was an agressive wrestler.
