I want to wrestle for that guy. What a coach. I also want to see him and Brand go at it. I'll take our guy.

Re: KJ after the loss on Sunday
I don't follow wrestling too closely. I mostly pay it a little attention for the Iowa dual, Midlands a little, national duals, and the national tournament. I think given Gable situation years ago, we had to hire Cael when we did. But I like Jackson so much better as our coach. Hope he's successful and around for a long time.

I love the Jackson hire! Screw Cael! He had the passion as a wrestler, but not as a coach. I would rather have Rhoads/Jackson over Chizik/Cael any day of the week! Good job Pollard

KJ is just fun to listen to.
"For the great enemy of truth is very often not the lie -- deliberate, contrived, and dishonest -- but the myth -- persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the clichés of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought."

Great Video.
I agree, Thank God KJ is our coach. I could not think of anybody I would rather have than him. It's amazing how losing Cael could actually be a blessing. I love Cael, I still do, but after seeing that video, it sends shivers down my spine.
Nationals in (2) months. That's a long time for KJ to continue to work with these guys. It's all about Improvement Everyday.

Re: KJ after the loss on Sunday
As an Iowa fan hes the right guy....love it that hes about ready to smack his head into a wall and knock it down after a loss....his team will feed off that....wont be good enough to beat us this year ....but it will be a fun ride. On another note it would seem outside of mens basketball perhaps......and maybe not even that....you guys have good coaches in all the sports people really follow....Vball, wbball, mbball, football, wrestling....ISU is pretty well off as far as leaders in those sports

Despite our two head-to-head losses to Iowa, it seems like we are real close. Scoring in Nationals would seem to widen the gap a little in Iowa's favor, but we can really do this.
At the very least, hopefully we can capture another Big 12 title and make the Nationals a real dog fight.

"maybe we'd be hearing some excuses out of their camp. I don't know."
The great thing about having a former Cyclone at the helm is their thorough understanding of this rivalry.

1. Next question, "Coach, just who the hell are you looking around for?" ...that guy is fired up!!!
2. I would pay any amount of money to see Coach Jackson vs Coach Brands in any type of match whether it be wrestling, bare knuckles, kicks to the groin, I don't care what it is, I would just love to see KJ release the fire he's got built up on that punk Brands at Iowa, anything to shut Brands' mouth. Coach Jackson looks like a bad, bad man.
3. There was a topic in a basketball thread where people were discussing the players taking on their coach's personality, I see our wrestlers really adopting Coach Jackson's intensity. Cael had a quiet demeanor to him and I think our wrestlers were a little gun-shy in past while he was here, there may be something to that school of thought after all.
