    And the sophomore from Missouri Valley has proven to be an able frontline substitute for injured Nick Gallick, as well. . . .

    OUTLOOK: Illinois’ two losses this season have come by a combined five points. Iowa State’s defending 197-pound national champ Jake Varner is unbeaten at 17-0. He’s the only Cyclone without a loss except for injured Nick Gallick (5-0), who hasn’t wrestled since Dec. 6.

    Do you know, is their coach, Chuck Earlywine, the same guy who wrestled for Mondamin West Harrison in the mid- to late-70s?

    I'm pretty sure it is. Its gotta be.

    If yes, he was a total bad ***, one of the best in Iowa, on an otherwise bad team. Would explain some where Jensen gets his aggressiveness. Wrestled for Drake, I would have figured ISU or another bigger time school.
