Bobby Douglas
Anyone can provide an insight where Coach Douglas is now ?
He seems a good guy, very nice and a class act when he was "asked" to retire.

Re: Bobby Douglas
He's still living in Ames.

Re: Bobby Douglas
I see him running at Lied a lot. He's still very active in the Ames community too.
Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

Re: Bobby Douglas
Check out this video interview from a few weeks ago. He's got some interesting things to say about Coach Jackson and Cael. Cael KJ and the Cyclones | Smitty's Corner Mats and Regional OTC (GOhioCasts) on Flowrestling -
Re: Bobby Douglas
Coach Douglas certainly seems like a classy guy. He still sounds a little intense so you can see that he was and is a great Cyclone. Thanks Coach Douglas for your past and future contributions to Cyclone wrestling. I wish you the best in the future.

Re: Bobby Douglas
Great find! It was very interesting to hear his perspective on everything. Thanks.

Re: Bobby Douglas
Not a lot of love for old Cael there, and I don't blame him. He stepped down, so Cael wouldn't take the IA job. And, Cael, consequently left, anyway. Good for Bobby to say what he said. He recruited this senior class, not saying Cael didn't help, but he was the head coach. Look how white his teeth are in the video, though. I need a new dentist.

Re: Bobby Douglas
Nice interview. African American guys age so well. You would never guess the guy was retirement age other than his beard. -
Re: Bobby Douglas
Kinda off topic, but when I went to ISU Dwight Hinson worked for the DPS. Hell of a nice guy. He used to go to the bars also. He would talk wrestling with you for 20 minutes no matter who you were. I heard he was a cop in Des Moines.

Re: Bobby Douglas
That interview describes the frustration of last Saturday. ISU and BD worked for this senior class and this year's national championship for years.... and then Cael ****ed it up.

I'm just not sure Cael was that great a coach? Recruit? Sure.
Who really has the blinders on?
