I think it's probably OSU's for the taking next year as well. But who knows two years from now. A lot of it will come down to matchups in weight classes as usual.
I'm still not completely sold on Cornell, they're too top heavy to be a NC I think. FWIW I think that's also our problem.
I think Cornell is going to be a make or break program the next few years. What I mean is that they will have the chance to make or break someone winning the title because they screwed someone when they faced off.
Short man disease....... I think when you win an Olympic gold your probably a bad ***, but I don't know maybe you could beat him up. I won't even get started on the 2 classes its a good excuse though I guess. Take Metcalf and Borchell out, are only two from VT and we still double the amount of AA you have this year so that excuse doesn't work very well sorry.
The comment was mostly in jest, but since you want to talk about it...
I have no doubt he could beat me up. He probably would if he got the chance and perceived some slight; that's the problem. It has nothing to do with being tough, it has everything to do with being a head case and overly aggressive (and no, I'm not talking about when he is wrestling). It's a compulsion: feeling you have to prove every chance you get just how tough you are. Cael Sanderson was an Olympic Champion as was KJ. Neither one of them act out of control like Brands.
Frankly "short man's disease" has by most reputable authorities been disproven. Brands just doesn't do those experts any favors.
I won't engage anymore. I don't want to offend any of the short wrestlers and former wrestlers on here. I have nothing against short athletes and I don't want to offend them.
"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr
