Big 12 Wrestling Championship Brackets Released

The following is a press release from Iowa State Athletic Communications

AMES, Iowa – The Big 12 Conference released brackets for the 2024 Big 12 Wrestling Championship Monday evening. In total, nine Iowa State wrestlers received a top-eight seed, seven of which are seeded fourth or better. Seven Cyclones will have an opening-round match while three drew a bye into the quarterfinals.

Anthony Echemendia (141) and Casey Swiderski (149) both earned the No. 1 seed in their respective brackets while Evan Frost (133), David Carr (165), MJ Gaitan (174) and Yonger Bastida (285) all received a No. 2 seed. Other Cyclones to earn seeds are No. 4 Cody Chittum at 157 pounds, No. 5 Will Feldkamp at 184 pounds and No. 6 Kysen Terukina at 125 pounds.

The Big 12 Championship will be held March 9-10 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla. Sessions 1-3 will be streamed via Big 12 Now on ESPN+ while the Finals will be televised on ESPN2.
