I need to know of a place in Central Iowa where I can exchange some Canadian Dollars and Pesos. We got some Canadian dollars as a wedding present from some friends in Canada and had some pesos left over from Mexico. I know I can send them away at our local bank but they will take a percentage of it. Any ideas where I could go or call to get the exact exchange rate?

Before going on trips to Europe I usually get some euro's through Bank of America so I assume they also do the reverse.

I always just do it at the airport. The fee is really not much worse than banks and it is not worth the hassle.

On the way out of the country I just spend every euro I have on beer and then leave the rest for a tip. :)

Wells Fargo downtown has a currency exchange, but any bank you aren't a customer with will charge a fee.

I could be wrong, but I think technically any bank attached to the FED is supposed to be able to convert. Smaller banks that get their cash from bigger banks usually won't do it, but the big banks like Wells, BOA, etc should be able to take care of this for you. I'd call the branch first just to make sure.

our bank, Bank of America at 35th street in WDM told us to go to Wells Fargo, so I don't know how many banks in this area do it other than them.

I did it through my B of A account online and then picked up the euro's at the branch.
