That's what Saturdays are for.

Well, yes, I understand that, and I've probably done the 24/24 many times before, and maybe more than 24. I just never actually started drinking with the plan of drinking a beer an hour for 24 hours.

The guy that actually thought it could be done just got done finishing second in a 12 pck race. He managed 12 in less than 55 mins. I'm lucky to be standing after 12 in a night.

I like "Case Race". Wonder why we never came up with that after all those years (prob something to do with dead brain cells). We just called it the 24 in 24 challenge.

Yeah 24 in 24 is pretty much the same thing. With a case it's not really like you can go slam them all. So pretty much ends up being quite a while.

We called it case day...or bottle day (70 proof or higher) for the ladies.

Ever tried a beer a hole in golf? Gets pretty tough after the front 9.

Today at work the topic over break was whether or not it is possible to drink 48 beers in 24 hours. I say anyone who can is an alcoholic. I used my weight on wikipedia's bac chart and came up with my ending bac would be .83% which is beyond legally dead. Anyone think that it is actually possible?

I think you are overstating the final BAC. For a 180 lbs. male, each drink contributes 0.021% to the BAC. 48 drinks would have an aggregate BAC of 1.008% BAC (48*0.021%). However, your BAC declines by 0.01 for each 40 minutes. In this scenario, your total loss would be approximately 0.72% (72 forty-minute periods * 0.01%). Thus, the final BAC would be roughly 0.288%.

A power hour? Good times. I helped a buddy write a plugin for a media player that would play 60 seconds of random songs for an hour.

I never could get anyone else to try doing a century club with me (shot a mintue for 100 minutes)

Yea, that's why I wrote that plugin...the last 15 minutes isn't nearly as bad when you don't have to focus on the clock. Just drink when you hear the music change

It works best if someone isn't stuck watching a clock. The 60 second song thing works well.

I took a run at power hour my very first night at ISU before the start of my freshman year. I spent most of the next day holding up the railing of the BWR courtyard steps and recycling the goods into the bushes under me. I am sure the hundreds of parents who were moving their kids in that day were really impressed with me....
