really? There aren't stories in this thread that took place in public???

I forgot to add the facts:

1) no one said they drove a moped drunk
2) no one said they vandalized a parking ramp 'arm'
3) no one said they were found passed out in an alley
4) no one said they punched a taxi cab driver
5) no one said they doubled teamed an unexpecting co-ed
6) no one said their dad makes 3 million plus a year

One weekend for CWS me and two buddies drank over 140 beers, 30 shots, and 2 wine coolers. Lets just say I dont remember much of that weekend and we're never allowed in my buddies parents house again. Not because we puked but b/c we ate everything with the drunk muchies.

I would say that saturday we drank about 30+ cans each. I'm not a heavy drinker so I am pretty sure it can be done

Century club. Wow. I never did it, but I watched guys do it lots of times.

I think the guys I was around had a designated "timer," usually a freshman who couldn't drink much...

We used to also pass around a quote book. Every minute a person wrote a quote and then passed it to the next person for the next minute etc. Great to read the next day. Started off good but usually ended with "mama" or "sleeping with your sister" jokes.

Worst/Best thing drinking challenge I have seen anyone do is 100 beers in 100 hours. Wasn't there the entire time obviously so they may have skipped some but watching them try to make up the beers per hour they missed during their sleep was quite humorous. So they claim to have done the 100 beers in 100 hours, I'm not sure they made all 100 but they had come pretty close from what I saw.

I was just going to post about this. We called it the "real man's century club". Honestly, I'm about 99% sure I could do 48 beers in 24 hours if I really wanted to. Motivation is the problem, I couldn't just do it sitting around in an apartment. the last 8 hours or so would have to involve a tailgate or something stimulating like that

To speak to the original question, your average 6 ft. 180 lbs. weekend warrior is going to struggle mightily to even think about the 48/24 challenge, but I'm sure most of us have at least met a 6 ft. 9in. 300+ lbs. beer dumpster that could probably make a run at it. I've known several. Even in my "best" days 5-7 years ago getting 24 in 24 would have been tough.

This could be done if you drink a case then pass out, get your stomach pumped and finish strong with the other case! Do this while having a steady diet of beer, water, and bread.

The Century Club or Power Hour (whichever we had time for) was usually a pre-tailgate ritual for us.

We did that a few times. 100 wasn't really tough, most of the group made it that far. But we kept going and shortly after that, people started bowing out. I remember a couple of guys puking and rallying. The one time, I made it to around 125, puked, rallied back and finally quit at 140. Ahh, the college days!!

One of my college roommates had an unspoken record of 9 of the big cups (46 oz) at Kelly's one year at the Big XII in a day from about 11am-9pm. He was all of 6'5 and all of 350+. He could drink more than anybody I've ever been around. Of course, he is no longer with us. RIP Wide Body....

Not as proud of it as I once was but I did 30 shots and 10-12 beers while bartending one night. My buddies put me up to it since some guy was doing 21 for his bday. My boss called my girlfriend and she had to come pick me up at close. However to save me the lecture he told her it was slow and I could leave... Best boss ever!

I'm pretty sure we pushed it w/the combination of keg party on Friday night before a saturday football game.

Nebraska '06 comes to mind. We threw a party the night before the game. We had gone to FAC, got home around 7 and started partying there. Follow that up w/waking up at 6AM, heading to the lots, drinking for hours while waiting to get into the tailgate. Drinking more during the tailgate, until the 7PM kickoff, at which point I was arguably as inebriated as I've been in my whole life, w/out blacking out or passing out. I would guess between 7PM friday and 7PM saturday, I came very close to consuming 48 beers. I would guarantee 40+ for sure.

I couldn't do that anymore.
