So, which BCS conference is the worst from a FB standpoint...Big 10, ACC, or Big East?

Big East and it's not even close. I'd even argue that top-to-bottom the MWC is better than the Big East. I wouldn't necessarily make that same argument for the Big 10 or ACC.

I voted The Big East. However, the ACC is right on their heels. I mean, two of their teams lost to FCS schools this past weekend! Ouch!

If Iowa wasn't in the little11, I'm guessing that conference wouldn't have so many votes.

I think you are correct. I agree with above. Big East and not even close.

You can't have Penn St. and Ohio St. as good as they are and be labeled as the worst BCS conference.

How in the hell does the ACC only have 5 votes? They had two teams lose to FCS schools and their flagship program got manhandled. Also, they had a bowl team lose to Baylor at home.

I'm not sure how anyone can rationally call the Big East worse than the ACC right now. How many FCS teams did the ACC lose to? Didn't the absolute, walking away worst team in the Big East nearly beat a Big 10 bowl team returning everyone? The Big East gets ragged because they don't have a dynasty team. That's it. Period. Their non-conference and bowl records suggest they're mid-pack amongst the BCS conferences. Also, the MWC is the definition of top heavy. After BYU, Utah, and TCU it's very average. Syracuse would probably beat New Mexico, UNLV, SDSU, and Wyoming. The bottom of the MWC is far worse than the bottom of the Big East, and that is the reason one is BCS and one isn't.

Because the ACC is very top-heavy. The ACC has 4 teams in the top 25 and another 3 receiving votes. The Big 10 has 2 teams in the top 25 and another 3 receiving votes. The Big East has Cincinnati at #23, which is behind the other 6 teams mentioned, and 3 other teams receiving votes, which includes South Florida, which received a single vote in both polls. I'm not proclaiming that either the ACC or Big 10 are very good, but neither of them are even approaching Big East badness levels...

I personally do not believe PSU and OSU are that good.

I voted ACC, but it's a tossup between it and the Big East.

People voting for the Big 10 have no clue. I'm clearly no apologist for the conference, but it's head and shoulders above either the Big East or the ACC at the moment.

I voted ACC only because in 2013 Cincinnati will beat Alabama in the national title game - at least according to NCAA Football 2010.

You're argument isn't really based on pre-season/week 1 rankings is it? C'mon jdogg. You're better than that. Those rankings are a product of preceived weakness. Period. The ACC performed much worse week 1 than the Big East did. Especially at the bottom end.

I could see that scenario happening THIS year... At least those two teams meeting. Bama would probably win. Bama and Cincy were the two teams that impressed me the most this weekend.

I still think the B12 is the probably the 1st or 2nd best conference, but Oklahoma & Colorado did lose and K-St. got all they could handle from UMASS. Not a great weekend for our conference.

Big East, and than the Big 10, than the ACC

Florida St and Miami will be good this year. Va Tech is real solid.
