Yeah I prefer the V-22's or F-18's that tend to buzz my apartment...

Oh wait most people in Iowa don't see these things on a daily basis :jimlad:

We're playing ARMY. Army doesn't have much to fly over the stadium, and I doubt driving an Abram tank to the 50 yard line would go over well

Probably gonna ***** if when we play Air Force it's just an F-16 fly over because it's the most local thing and fly overs generally are done as part of training missions, it's not like they usually fly these things half way across the country to ooh and ahhh you

The coolest flyovers I ever saw were the now retired F-14's flying supersonic off the Florida coast.

At the ISU-Mizzou game two years ago they had a B-1 flyover, that was pretty neat, but there's a LOT of National Guard in Missouri. Think they had Blackhawks at KU a couple of years ago, as well.

My all-time favorite was last December 11, the Shuttle Carrier 747 made a detour from it's route from Fort Worth to Shreveport to circle around Houston with Endeavour on its back.

I was rather amused driving home from the Alumni game watch for Iowa the other week, there were several planes on final approach to Andrews Air Force Base, including a rather large one.

Sure enough, it was a VC-25 (aka presidential 747, commonly called Air Force One). I drove right under it as it crossed the highway
