AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State wide receiver Darius Reynolds suffered a broken leg in practice Tuesday. He will be examined by a specialist today. A prognosis will be determined by the doctors.

A junior wide receiver from Woodbridge, Va., Reynolds is Iowa State's second-leading pass catcher, with 13 receptions for 72 yards through the first four games.

I'm not here to make light of Money's injury, which sucks, but this stat is very sad.

Definitely a disappointment.

In other news, and brighter news, someone else mentioned Houston Jones is nearly or already at 100%. Would love to see him back on the field in KC.

Kick in the nuts to him and the cyclone faithful. Get better soon Money. As for Houston Jones, sweet. Love that guy.

In his defense, he hasn't gotten the ball in space pretty much even once.

I would guess the game is quicker than he's used to and the dancing resulted in lost yards when he should've been squeezing every yard out of the run possible.

I agree, though, I didn't expect 5 yards a catch.

I read somewhere else it was the fib.

If thats the case, depending on where the break is, he may not be done the entire year.

TO did that when he played with the Eagles late in the regular season and returned for the super bowl.

He can't get a medical redshirt, correct?

I think Jones should be almost back to full speed...He was nursing a really bad ankle sprain and had it in a boot for the NDSU game and was questionable for the Iowa game...I've seen him walking on campus with no sign of a limp. Hopefully this is a game where he can finally play at 100%

Actually I meant the fact that have 70-some yards after four games makes you second best receiver.

I like Money but no offense he hasn't caught a pass in the past 2 games and we have lots of depth at WR. Never want to see a guy hurt but I think the Parker injury hurts us a lot more on the field than this one will.

Some of that is on the WRs but a good chunk is also on the QBs.

This really sucks. He is a talented guy and now he has even less college time.

After the 4th game....

Is there any chance of getting a medical if he can't come back?

Wait, wait... I forgot. We're Iowa State. We don't get such judgements from the NCAA.

He should be able to, they expect Parker to get a red shirt and Money has played in just as many games. And I would be extremely impressed if he came back from a fib fracture this season.

Even if he could, Im not sure youd want him to. A year to heal is a good idea. If you make it worse, it could be career ending.
