To my knowledge a medical hardship is always routinely granted for every player who meets the guidelines and has not previously redshirted. For football that would be playing 4 games or less, all within the first half of the season.

I think the only time that the NCAA judges redshirts on a case by case basis is when the player is asking for a 6th year to complete their 4 years of playing time.

Re: Official Release from ISU: Rynolds has Broken Leg

I am proud of my brother's accomplishments and how far he has come. I love him...

Yeah, I remember you saying that a couple times.

I hope he has a speedy recovery and I think you should thank Arnaud "personally" in person just in case he doesn't read this board. Arnaud is a great person and a good teammate by all accounts.

I know. I am still in awe to even see my brother have the chance to play on the big stage....

Hopefully by spring he will be back at 110% and have had the time to watch and learn...

It's clearly evident that your brother has the talent to shine on the big stage. I was fully expecting him to break out and elevate his game during the conference season. Sadly, we will have now to wait 11 months for that to happen.

Please pass on best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. The good news is that the orthopedic surgeon who works with the athletic department is top notch. He is in good care.

A low pass? Go figure!

Hope Money has a speedy recovery. I was told he was injured and thus the lack of PT the last two games. Personally I thought he was going to be our leading WR come conference time and to see him get injured is a big blow to our team.

Honestly I didn't expect any sympathy, empathy or understanding from you. However I won't say anything negative hindsight. I am proud of my brother's accomplishments and how far he has come. I love him and he will be back.

GO CYCLONES!!!

Good!!! We need Money!!!! he is an extremely gifted athlete and will make a HUGE contribution to the Cyclones next year or the year after granted if he gets a medical RS

He probably won't need the redshirt. He'll have a monster season next year and go pro.

This was my first thought as well. Probably the reason AA was the first to call and express his sympathies since he is likely the man behind the low pass that caused the break.

Hey City, I don't suppose you heard anything about Parker did you? I am guessing if Money's redshirt got approved, than so would Parker's?
