Re: Chris Henry Dead

It sounds like he wasn't making good decisions when he tried to jump into a moving pick up. Its a sad story but his death appears to come as a result of his own actions.

Re: Chris Henry Dead

That quote makes no sense to me.
When Henery started into the league he was a "rebel" (gun/drug possession) and was doing stupid things and was suspended for a total of like 14 games. Since then he has turned his life around and has been practically a model citizen just doing his thing, going to get married, minding his business and then he gets into an accident and looses his life.

So the moral of the story is him being a rebel and an ******* should have cost him his life before settling down and being a regular citizen that doesnt get into trouble. Lots of irony there (or maybe its just me that finds that ironic.)

And yes, it should be lose not loose.

Yeah I know the Chris Henry story, I just didn't get what TJ was saying. It was like he left something out at the end of the quote.

Re: Chris Henry Pass Away?

I hope this post doesn't come across as taking this sad news too lightly, but when searching Google news for "Chris Henry death" to find confirmation of whether the story of Chris Henry's death was true or not, I found the link below, which, at the bottom, talks about the false rumors of the death of someone named "Henry Christopher", rather than "Chris (i.e., Christopher) Henry". The weird thing is, that the story about false rumors of Henry Christopher's death happened exactly 100 years ago today. That is a pretty amazing random coincidence.

Re: Chris Henry Dead

Certainly not the most coherent quote in the world!
I guess I probably butchered the quote. I was only half listening (can you do that?) to ESPN this morning when they were talking about it. Sorry.

Re: Chris Henry Pass Away?

Watching the Mavs/Thunder game, the crawl at the bottom of the screen said that he tried to jump into or out of his girlfriend/wife/road beefs car during a domestic dispute.

Don't remember seeing road beef on the ESPN scroll.

Not sure what to think about Chris Henry really. Dude was a lot of trouble and it always happened when he was away from the team, i.e. this latest incident.

I understand that point, I do, but he still had not gotten in trouble in quite some time and it just sucks that after he had gone to such an effort to correct his life he gets injured for the season and now he dies.

Did anyone see that Chad Johnson (Ocho cinco) was breaking down in tears in his interview?
I really think that this a sad and a tragedy, Chris was turning his life around all to have his life end in a manner that could have 100% been avoided.
All being said GO BENGALS you are now my 2nd team,
RIP Chris Henry
