Thought everyone could use a little reality check and a break from all of the negative threads regarding the men's basketball team.

Here are the facts:
- Finished the non-confernce schedule with an 11-4 record.
- Three of the four losses were against Cal on their home court, Duke at a neutral site, and UNI. Those are three NCAA tourney teams folks, not the end of the world.
- The loss to Northwestern will be our only 'bad' loss come the end of the year and that came at another 'neutral site'.

At the start of the season I expected us to finish the non-conference at 12-3 so we are not that far away. It will take 20 wins to get to the big dance and while it won't be an easy run in conference we really only need to play 500 ball the rest of the way (8-8 conference record) and get 1 win in the Big 12 tourney to get to 20.

My guess is that this board will be singing a bit of a different tune after we win our first game in the big dance and are 1 win away from the sweet 16.

It will all come together folks. You just gotta have some faith!

Have you watched many other Big 12 games?

We are a long ways away.

Everyone here hopes for the best.... but we have been down this road before. I hope desperately this team takes another path.

unfortunately almost all of the big 12 teams are better than teams we lost to.

The positive thinking is refreshing...I'll be at Hilton hoping to see improvement and success the rest of the season.

Same thing that was said the past three years, and we all know how they turned out. Unfortunately, I have lost faith. Unless something miraculous happens, we are going to have another long, painful Big 12 season.

The way this team has played through 15 games gives me no confidence in their ability to compete in the Big 12. There is NO toughness to this team. We continually get out-rebounded and give up far too many points in the paint against what SHOULD be inferior competition. The fact is that we are not a good team right now and I see little that gives me any hope that we will evolve into one.

"the sky is falling" infers a disaster is going to occur. I would say that the sky has already fallen, as the disaster is already occurring.

So all of you guys that are predicting only 2 wins in conference answer me on question, do you think this years team is worse than last years? I personally do not, I don't think it's even close. We played very well against some very good big 12 teams last year and I think we can improve on that this year and actually win some of those games.

We are about the same.. maybe a little better. The Big 12 has just gotten that much better than us.

So let's hope for a miracle.

So you think Neb and Col are a ton better this year than last? Or how about Tech and A&M? Some are and some aren't. I don't think you can automatically call these loses just yet.

Tech was in the Top 25 for a while..

We played Cal without their best player. By the way TT beat Cal.

Nebraska is terrible. Theres one win

Texas AM is >>>>> than ISU. Plus its a road game.
