They made a trade it was to a different team.

there arent many people who didnt know A trade was going to happen

Because they are Hawk fans, and it would kill them to see a kid from 30 miles from mecca go to little old Iowa State.

Now, he may very well go to Wisconsin, but we are still in very good shape with this kid.

so it would be better to see him beat EIU twice a year rather than just once? because thats what would happen if he goes to any big 11 school.

i think the zags got him. i know they came in late but i still think they got it.

1. Gonzaga
2. Iowa St.

You know as well as I do that the Hawks would handle Grant going to Gonzaga, or Wisconsin, better than they would for him to come to Iowa State. In fact my guess is that the majority of Hawk fans, now that they have found out that they are no longer involved with Grant, are rooting for him to go to Gonzaga. They can even justify UW, because of the success that they have had recently, but Iowa State....I just don't think that with all of the prospects coming up over the next 2-3 years that they really want to see any of them here.

And I don't know that this affects Lickliter all that much, as he got into this late in the game. A truer test will be with some of the other Iowa kids that will be coming up through the ranks in the next couple of years.

Oh, they would most definitly like him to go to Gonzaga over us. In fact several posters have on their boards have said "Please go to Gonzaga" to Grant. And they have registered on the Gonzaga board and expressed their heartfelt hope that he goes there. Kind of sad really.

If I was Grant I would have held off until April worked Wisconsin, Gonzaga ISU and Iowa for free tickets and trips.

according to an article in the 7/10 edition of the DM rag, his mother said he isn't deciding until after an AAU tourney, (in Tulsa, I think), that takes place this weekend. Also said it's down to us and the Zags.

Waiting is one of the toughest things to do, but no news is good news for this situation. The longer he takes the more hopefully he will realize how great it would be for his folks, family and friends to see him in person EVERY home game.

Nope. It's in Spokane, a suburb of Washington. D.C. It's in that big metroplex of universities in the D.C. area that includes Maryland, Georgetown, George Washington, etc... :wink0st:
