first off let me say that I fully expect him to declare for the draft.

I was wondering If it would be unlikely for him to declare, not hire an agent and go through the camps and then make a decision? Everyone is saying that he will declare, which I agree with but is the scenario a possibility or just wishful thinking?

If I am him I get an agent ASAP. He is going to need someone to work some magic for him after the disappointing junior season.

My guess is he will feel it out before he goes to far. I think that is the best step for him to take. I really think that is best professionally for most guys. I think he may be hovering around that late 1st early 2nd round range so I think he will handle it carefully. In the end I think he goes.

Last year I remember him saying he was going to hire an agent right away if he declared. So, I expect him to do the same this year if he were to go to the draft.

He will definitely declare as he still can come back if he doesn't like his draft positioning. Then again he can do his research to find his draft position like last year as well.

IMO, this season did not help him at all from a draft perspective...

You're right. If he uses the same things to judge whether he will go or not, he will stay. I think he has changed his thinking and he will leave.

Brackins will make a good pro. Double teams will not keep him locked up, he can shoot the mid range jumper and he can rebound. He may not hire an agent they really make little difference for players like Craig as all NBA scouts are well aware of him.

I would agree, Craig shows signs of NBA talent, but not near consistent enough and Gilstrap is even farther away than Craig, a lot farther in my opinion.

I would be shocked if he came back next year. He is getting up in age for a draft pick and that would hurt him more than any perceived "bad" year. He still showed plenty this year to get drafted. I don't know how high he will go, but he will be drafted.

Journeyman, imho. I'd take it.

If I am Craig or Gilstrap, I am hiring an agent the day after we lose our last game, get a trainer, and moving to where I can get the best preparation for the camps and workouts with teams.

I don't think Gilstrap is ready but if he needs ther money I'd bolt. He has a lot of work to do but he has NBA talent I think.
