They showed Frank Martin's halftime speech last night and made it sound like he was really kicking some ***. He was mad but certainly not out of control, but I have a feeling he gets a lot more emotional than what they showed on camera at halftime last night. He catches a lot of crap, but the guy gets the most out of his players. I've heard some of them interviewed and apparently the players mimmick Martin in one of his fits, and he knows about it, so maybe he's not such a bad guy. From the interviews it looked like the players actually really like him, despite the reputation.

He's the kind of coach I would want.
The ISU women's team do impressions of BF all the time, but I don't think Martin is as laid back as Bill off the court.

Frank imposes his toughness on his players like nobody I've seen in awhile. Almost like Bob Knight in the 80s. It's pretty amazing.

People thought he'd flop after Beasley and Walker left. Not so much.

After their Big Monday game against ?? (Texas maybe?) he did his postgame intereview with a Pullen mock beard on. He's a hard *** no doubt, but that doesn't necessarily make him a bad man. I wonder how many of the pot shots the guy gets come out of jealousy rather than anything else. People can question his methods and his assistant coach's salary all they want, but you can't argue with the direction that program is heading.

Did Kstate ever send us a bottle of champagne or something for taking McD before they did?

I really like him and wish McD had 1/2 his fiery attitude. Also think Frank is one of the most underrated coaches coming into this tourney and glad to see him getting some pub.

Way up there
I think Kstate is a great example of what happens when a team and school support a coach and buy in to his coaching style. They should be envied.

I don't know if I like a guy more that I don't want to like than him. I think I might be jealous that he is not our coach.

The one line not shown from his half time speech.

Damn it you guys are being paid too much money to perform like this!
