Walters just said on WOI that it looks like Hoiberg is the next coach at ISU, but he's not sure when the press conference is.

if its Hoiberg and from Ames High and ISU, any how Harrison Barnes asks for a release from UNC and goes ISU then Im all for it

Hoiberg has traveled and scouted players for years now. He has seen more basketball than anybody. He is a guy that the fanbase would get behind and Hilton would be back right away. He is smart and has a good personality.

With that said I doubt this is true

No way. The guy would have made an effort to get into some form of coaching if he was interested. He can't possibly expect to get hired just on the basis of being a nice guy and ISU grad

As an Ames High grad, I'm pretty pumped. But with that said, this could backfire quickly.

Freddie has no coaching experience, no recruiting connections etc. I love Freddie, but this is not a good hire. Hope he proves me wrong.
