This is the worse idea ever, you lose a great backup guard and great defender. Chicago doesnt need lebron.

Here is what chicago SHOULD do.

trade Deng he has done nothing for them since he got that huge contract.

Sign Joe Johnson, Bosh, and Korver.
Then you would have a starting lineup of
Rose, Johnson, korver, bosh and Noah
with Gibson Johnson, and hinrich coming off of the bench.

You have got to be kidding me? You would rather have Joe Johnson and Kyle Korver over one of the top 2 players in the league? Look I like Kirk too but he's overpaid for what he gives you. You can find adequate backup guards for 1/2 the price Kirk comes at right now. This would be arguably the best starting lineup in the East:

PG: Rose
SG: LeBron
SF: Deng
PF: Bosh
C: Noah

Anyone who thinks there is a better combination you can sign other than LBJ and Bosh is crazy. They are perfect compliments to each other and the Bulls roster is setup perfectly that they'd become instant contenders. The only drawback is Rose is a player that excels with the ball in his hands but when you have a guy as talented as LeBron next to you I see this as a plus because when you have 2 guys that can drive the lane, a legit post player in Bosh, and a scrapper like Noah someone is going to get some good looks if the defense tries to contain LeBron and force someone else on the team to beat them.

Joe Johnson would be a nice consolation prize if the don't land LeBron but anyone who would rather have JJ over LBJ is nuts.

The Bulls won't trade Deng because nobody wants him. His contract sucks and sucks for awhile.

Signing Joe Johnson to a max deal ensures you basketball purgatory. Good enough to be top-4 in the East and never good enough to win a title. It's LBJ/Bosh or bust.

I am sorry but Kobe is the best player, he sacrifices his body day in and day out to win, he does everything he has to to win the game and make his team better.

Lebron is lazy at times, is a baby, streaky shooter, and doesnt trust his teammates to help out. Most people see lebron on the high light reel but if you watch him he is all of the things i have listed.

Kobe has better teammates, he doesn't trust them more than LeBron. Ron Artest said in an interview he was shocked Kobe passed him the ball at the end of Game 7. Kobe took tons of terrible shots in that series, he basically refused to pass the ball in Game 5. Pau Gasol throwing up 17/13/9 and 19/18/4 were more of a reason why they won the last two games then Kobe.

LeBron averaged like a 42/7/8 against the Magic two years ago and lost. In Game 6 against Boston this year he had 27/19/10. Maybe he doesn't trust his teammates because Jamison and Mo Williams suck in the playoffs.

How else do you explain the best record in the league 2 years in a row, best home record 2 years in a row, one of the top defensive teams 2 years in a row?

Well first off, those two have been on the team one year and a half season respectively. LeBron was able to carry them through the regular season, once it gets to the playoffs everyone around him just seems to crumble. During a postseason you can bank on three things with the Cavs: LeBron shows up, Anderson Verajo (sp?) plays his heart out, and Mo Williams is good for one game. Beyond that, there really isn't anything else.

He doesn't have a Gasol, Artest, Odom, Bynum combination with him.

That's what Rose is for... You can find another pg that is just as good as Hinrich to be a backup for a much more reasonable price than 8 mil

I agree, but why would you sign lebron and keep deng but not hinrich? I mean rose is very good but he cant play 48 every night he needs an experienced back-up. I dont think lebron would fit this team.

Jordan won 6 championships with Scottie Pippen. NO ONE else.
Yeah horace grant, tony kukoc, rodman ya role players but good players? lebron just doesnt have that quality like kobe and jordan that can carry a team and lead them to where they need to be. Someone that does everything to help the team does everything to win. Lebron likes to look good more then play quality Team basketball.

LeBron doesn't trust his teammates? Where do all of those assists go? LeBron has always been a streaker shooter. I have no idea why anybody would think LeBron is a baby, especially compared to some of the whining Kobe has done.

I will say LeBron doesn't have Kobe's killer instinct and he probably never will. He'll never win as many rings as Kobe. But he plays for a freaking terrible franchise and for pretty bad coaches. I would have loved to see what kind of player LeBron would be if he had played his whole career for a coach like Pop down in San Antonio.

LeBron plays point a lot, and he's better at it than Hinrich. He can guard pretty much any position on the floor and he has guarded plenty of point guards before. Jordan had Pippen, one of the 30 greatest players ever, and Rodman who was a great, like all time great, rebounder and defender. He was a hell of a lot more than a role player.

I am just saying lebron takes the ball away form Rose, they dont need him to do that. He needs to learn to be a leader and needs to learn that being Cocky gets him no where.

OK Mr. Heat fan, how would this not be the same case with Wade and LBJ in Miami like we have seen you post countless posts on how he'd be better off going to Miami instead of Chicago? Look at Boston, Allen, Pierce, and Garnett made it work for a ring a couple years ago and you could make the case back then they all needed to handle the ball. They are aging now but all 3 were at the peak of their prime back then.

edit: I got my posters mixed up, was thinking about the other guy here that posted this not you

Look, we found someone who has even more ridiculous basketball perspectives than CycloneBBallMan!

LBJ is a great player, but i hate him and his actions/personality so i don't want him on my favorite team. What's so crazy about that? I'm sure you have athletes you hate who are good also.

Because nobody wants Deng... everybody knows they are trying to get rid of him its just not that easy....

Steve Kerr showed up big when it counted and Rodman was GOOD not just some run of the mill role player...

So Lebron just likes to look good?

4. Lebron
12. Kobe

They had Rondo then.

Funny, weren't you the guy posting all those Heat blogs about LBJ should go to Miami not long ago claiming it to be gospel?

Duh. But I've never said otherwise so I don't see where you're going with this..

I'm not going anywhere with that, just checking. We're good. Though I'm pretty sure clonefreek did post about how instead of a Lebron/Bosh combo he thought a Joe Johnson/Korver combo was better.
