For a rivalry game, iowa state played terrible. I honestly did not see them do one thing right today. I have gone to the last three iowa vs. iowa state games and i haven't seen on positive thing of the field. Oh and ISU sold all of the tickets they were given but the problem is that 50% of those were iowa fans. ISU got 4,000 tickets and 2,000 of them were iowa fans. If ISU wants to be legit and beat the team an hour away from them, why cant they buy tickets to the game?

Well, the game last year was also bad... but not nearly this bad. I hope that this doesn't mean that we will have a one or two win season. KU looked good today and that was our sure win!

this game reminded me a lot of the game @ OU in 2002. Just got slammed early - totally outmatched.

ISU fans talk about how we need to pick it up and we need to be a legit team so we don't get left out next time the whole conference re-alignment talk comes around but what happened today? why were there no ISU fans at the game today? How can we seriously expect to build a legit stadium and bowl in the south endzone when we can't even buy 4,000 tickets to the IOWA VS. ISU GAME?! And by the way, yes i did go to the game and the 2,000 Isu fans there were terrible, i know they didnt have much to cheer about but it was absolutely pathetic.

It time for some of these players to step up and make plays. AA needs to get the WR's the ball and the WR's need to catch the ball.

Hey Fridd THIS IS NOT A RIVALRY GAME ITS A "SERIES" GAME!!!!!

Don't kid yourself. While I'd love to say Nebraska is our biggest rival (although it's ending now), this is our only game that could be considered a rivalry for us for the sheer fact that the opposing team cares at least a little bit.

Sadly I thought the effort was there even towards the end. I love CPR, but as a coach you need to put your team in the best position to win the game. We weren't gonna win when it got to 21-0. But the failure of the coaches to make adjustments to be competitive in the 2nd half was unacceptable.

We did play pretty poor football today, but you have to keep in mind that we just don't have even close to as much talent as Iowa has. Playing a top 10 team on the road, has rarely resulted in much different results in the past than it did today. I can't remember many road games against top 10 teams that didn't feel like this one.

Chill out kids.

Be honest with yourself, what did you think our record would be after our first two games this year? 1-1 right? Well, that is right where we are; no more, no less. Next weeks game against KSU will tell us a LOT more about the future of this season than today did.

Now, if we lose to KSU... commence with the freak out..

I'm not sure what he could have done. The running game was completely stagnant. once you get down 28-0, you're forced to throw a lot, and the defense knows it.

Now I didn't get to see last week's game, so maybe you guys do this a lot anyway. But I liked how Rhoads split Robinson out in the slot, trying to get him the ball in open space. I think today ISU got to see the product of their work from last year's game. Their efforts in the run game last year is what sparked the "6 Seconds of Hell" for the Iowa D-Line. If the teams had played again the next week last year, you probably would have seen a similar performance to today's.

yup, feels very similar to the Okie State game last year. They were just better and kicked our ***. Get better, move on.

The biggest difference in talent was obviously on the DL. We saw the #1 defensive line in all of college football against the # 110 line (and that might be generous). If you switched those two lines, ISU could have won this game.

They weren't heartless. They never gave up. They were just totally outmatched & overwhelmed. But "heartless" is a bit much, IMO.

Jake Knott is a badass. He's fun to watch.

Good luck the rest of the way.
