Mediacom subscribers with FS Midwest as their RSN will be able to watch on the normal channel for FS Midwest, in Des Moines that's channel 40.

Do you have Mediacom, Dish or Direct TV? I'm not sure about Direct TV but it has already been established you will get it from start to finish on Dish or Mediacom with the channel numbers, what difference does it matter if it is another fox channel or an alternate Comcast channel.
Did you mean Directv? I have Mediacom but will be in Eastern Iowa for a birthday and they have Dish. So if I am reading your post right, the game will be on from start to finish on Dish?
Isn't the Kstate vs KU game on FSN tonight as well? wonder if dish network will be able to get that on an alternate channel.
I'm seeing the Blue Jackets/Wild game listed on FSNorth up here (DirecTV). I believe they are delaying the Cyclone game until 10 pm or after the NHL game. I hope it doesn't go to a shoot out or my TiVo will never record it.

Yes it will be on from start to finish on Dish Network. This whole dish and fox thing is confusing. Usually FSN games are shown on Fox Midwest and Comcast, but Fox Midwest is unavailable now with their dispute and Comcast is showing a Bulls preseason game so the FSN channel is moving to an alternate channel. At any rate I know it will be on channel 444, someone said it is also on one of the alternate HD channels but I didn't check that yet.
I just tried to set my DVR for the game on Dish Network 444 and it said it wasn't available in my area. I'm so confused. On the Dish website it says it will be:

It may be on the alternate channel same as the Northern Ill. game. To avoid any chance that it is not I will be heading to BW3 in Chanhassen or Sensors in Bloomington.
I went to Joe Sensors in Bloomington for the very first time for the KState game. Nobody told me I'd have to put up with all of those Fuskers! Is BW3 any better in that regard?
It doesn't matter this week as I will be in Marshalltown for a wedding reception. Let's hope there is a TV in a nearby bar with a Cyclone bartender.
That is weird, in Des Moines when I checked to see if I could record it or if it was blacked out, it was going to let me record it and I didn't get the message that this program wasn't available in my viewing area like I do for some games down in the 440's to 450's. I live in Des Moines so I don't know why it wouldn't be on 444 in Marshalltown.

Ughh... I'm on the phone with DirecTV now trying to see if I can add FSN to my account, and after explaining the channel I need and saying I wanted to see the Oklahoma vs Iowa State game, a lady in a southern accent replied "Noew problam, you said Oklahoma vs IOWA, riiight??"

I thought I read this was , 11:00 start time? Did I misread that? Did it get moved to a night game? Was it always a night game and I'm just an idiot? Regardless, what's the official start time of the game?

Directv: with the Sports Pack - it appears there are SEVERAL Fox Affiliate channels showing the game. Is it safe to assume with the Sports Pack there is no risk in seeing the first couple hours? Live in Des Moines.
