but I have never heard a coach yell at the refs like CPR did at Texas without getting flagged. It was unbeleivable. It's almost like the refs knew they were trying to job us.
He was yelling stuff like "Quit ******* being enamored by the Burnt ******* orange and make a call for us".

It was crazy. Never seen a coach yelling stuff like that. I think he actually scared the main ref. The back judge would not even walk by our bench. Especially in the 4th quarter.

He had reason to be mad, they missed ALOT of holding calls on Texas's line and that OPI on Franklin was bad. Also, it looked to me like his intesnity translated to player intensity-- so keep ridin' those refs CPR!

Well good, I'm glad. There refs were jobbing us ALL game. Glad to have a coach who is willing to point it out to them. It's always nice to see him chasing them down and chewing them out. It keeps the though that we could let him off the leash at any point in the back of their minds.

I'm glad he did that. I also think the players see that and it gets them more fired up as well.

I like it. I always felt like Mac was afraid of ruining his "nicest coach in the conference" status and didn't stick up for us enough. We were clearly getting jobbed on Saturday and PR made a stink about it. It's great to have a coach that will stick up for his team and his program.

This was one of the worst calls I've ever seen. We had so much momentum at the time. I'm convinced it would've been 35-21 w/o that travesty. But whatever, in Austin you have to beat 12...we did.

Reminded me of a BBall coach or two we used to have, loved it! Two of their long pass plays should have been called back from what I saw, I didn't go back and double check though.

With the way the officials were obviously pro-Texas, I'm surprised CPR did not get flagged for his outbursts.

He lost his freaking mind in the final few minutes when the scorekeeper didn't start the clock for about 5 seconds after the official signaled for it to start. Ran about 5 yards onto the field right by the official, threw his hat onto the ground. Couldn't believe he didn't get penalized.

This x 1000.

Two things that bug me the most is 1. We play poorly because we did not play hard. 2. We get jobbed by the officials and it appears intentional.

I freaking love this post.

Yeah CPR!! Way to stand up for ISU. These "big time" schools get too many calls wayyyy to often.

Yeah!

After watching the play a few times I felt the Texas player made initial contact and Darks was trying to get off him. Either way, he got his hands involved so I see why they called it. Even if the Texas player had no shot to make a play on the ball.

Trust me when I tell you CPR killed the ref on that play. Then a few plays went by and he killed him some more over that play. Then there was a t.v. timeout or something and he killed him some more. The ref finally said "O.K. I understand your frustration about that call". Then CPR told him it was not just that call and that they were "helping all mighty Texas try to beat us".
