will be too late - he led the team beating other teams like LSU, Miss State etc.

Is Chizz really to blame here?

It seems that most coaches are pulling a post-Nixon mentality by turning blind eyes in regards to players/agents/boosters. This is a system crash of blue screen proportions.

Do the teams they beat get a win added? I wouldn't think so would be my guess.

No. If you are forced to forfeit, you lose the wins, but no one gets them. We've had a few schools that had to forfeit wins, but we never got them.

No. Just like all the teams that lost to Michigan and the Fab Five, UMass and Claipari (funny story that the NCAA told UMass to take down its Final Four banner and UMass simply said "no" and the banner still hangs), USC, and SMU when they got the 'death penalty'.

Wins are vacated, losses are not reversed.

Though Chizik left this program in shambles, his leaving is obviously turning out to be a positive. The less I find myself being ****** at him for leaving the way he did.

Doesn't mean I won't enjoy it when he crashes and burns.

Re: Cam Newton to be suspended by NCAA

You do realize that if Newton is ruled ineligible Auburn forfeits those wins, right?

Yes, I do. Some AU fans will think that they get robbed and the team would've won anyway without Newton.

Re: Cam Newton to be suspended by NCAA

Who should the NCAA be punishing, the people spending the money on recruits or the recruits who receive the money? It is certainly unethical for the recruits to accept any money, but it is purely reactive to suspend the player, as opposed to being proactive about curbing such transactions from taking place at all.

It is unfortunate for Cam Newton that the best way to punish Auburn is to deny him eligibility to play. However, the kid will still get a job in the pros. Look at Michael Vick; if a guy who engaged in those sorts of activities can find a job in the NFL, I have to think Newton's less morally questionable activities won't be punished by a destroyed future.
