please try and keep this positive. you make it out as if the CGC is a bad thing for ISU. it isn't.

I donate to the the NCC and have for a few years. IF I donate to the Gridiron club are my donations tax deductible. If not I'll give more to the NCC?

Would this "membership" show up on my credit card statements as "ISU CYCLONE CLUB"? Which is also what my NCC donation shows up as.

Donating to the CGC adds points to your National Cyclone Club point total just as your yearly donation to NCC.

Okay, I need a primer.

In the summer after the whole Big XII near meltdown I downloaded the NCC form, filled it out and sent it in with $100.00 check. I was my first donation to the sports part of the ISU equation ever.

I would have thought they would have sent some sort of a member ship card or something.

Since then, I have received many different mailings and emailings and I honestly don't know if I am in the NCC or the Gridiron Club or both.

What is the relationship between the NCC and the Gridiron Club? Do they just share donor information? Which one is the one to donate to if you want to get donor credit for ticket purchases?

THE NCC supports all Iowa State Athletics. The Cyclone Gridiron Club supports solely the football program. As mentioned funds have been used for weight equipment, video cameras, nutritional products, furniture and improvements to the locker room. CGC also hosts several events through the year that are a lot of fun.

To date the CGC has donated over $1 million to Iowa State Football. Considering this started with a group of four guys and Coach Mac in 2003 the club has grown significantly. With more members, more dollars go directly to the program.
