Can someone refresh my memory?

Where is Nate or Nick Moore and (excuse me for forgetting his name) that colored kid that got 2nd at nationals last year. I believe he was a freshman last year.

Where is joey slaton?

First off, did you really just say "colored"? Did someone transport me back to the 50s??? Wow. Here's a tip: don't use that term. Anywhere. To answer your question, his name is Montell Marion and Iowa suspended him from the team.

Slaton used up his eligibility after last year. He couldn't hold 133 two years ago and last season he would have started over Marion but was academically ineligible.

Nate Moore is in a 3-way battle for 133 at Iowa with Tyler Clark and RS frosh named Ramos. Nick is a true frosh and he is redshirting.

I think we are going to get owned on Friday and I fear that will be the case for years to come.

That and Long getting kicked off the team. Even if you just replace 125 with "toss-up" and 133 with "weak ISU" (if Clark hadn't jumped ship) this meet would suddenly turn from a 20-30 percent chance of a Cyclone win into either it being even or ISU being favored.

Long is still in school and still wrestling. He will be eligible once 2nd semester starts. It is a huge loss for us however because we know he can hang with McDonough which means 3 for iowa at most. With Hunter in I expect 5 or 6 for the hawks.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out because this is probably the most evenly matched dual with Iowa we have had in quite a while. I think we pull it off. That's right you heard it here first.

Long is wrestling with the Cyclone Wrestling Club, not the Iowa State team. He's only back on the team if Jackson lets him, which is possible, but I wouldn't count on it. Hopefully he gets his stuff together and is able to come back though, I'd hate to see a talent like him go to waste just because he can't put down the bottle.

In the presser Chris Williams posted Jackson mentions possibly holding Ward out again. That's a huge drop if the toss up moves to Iowa being favored at 197 (though if Ward is wrestling poorly enough in the room to be held out then I suppose it doesn't really matter either way).

1st off, why are you here again? i thought you left or (hoped) got booted.

2nd, why do you still use the term "we" when referencing Iowa State? pretty sure you've been outed-or do you want me to do it again?

Do you ever get tired of posting this crap? You don't like it that I'm not a typical "everything is blue sky and rainbows" ISU fan so you go after me instead. Get over yourself.

no, i don't get tired of it. what i get tired of is you using the term "we" in reference to ISU on the cyclone message boards, and then using the term “weâ€￾ in reference to the hawkeyes on their message boards. Seriously-which is it? why do you do it on both boards? Who are you really a fan of? Give me a straight answer on this and I’ll leave it alone-otherwise, I’m going to continue to call you out for what you appear to be-a Hawk troll.

my dislike for you has nothing to do with your approach or comments other than the fact that you double as a hawk fan on their boards.

I do not post on Hawkeye message boards nor do I have the desire to do so. Sorry to disappoint you. I have actually stated this several times before.

It is really hard to believe there might actually be two people on the Internet with the same last name.

It'll be tough, but doable. We just have to not give up too many bonus points at 125/133 and win two of the three toss-up matches. I wouldn't give us even odds on winning tonight, but I'd say we've got around a 30% chance.

It seem like bonus points are inevitable at 125, 133, and 184. What was the plan at ISU for the 133 pounds weight class? Was it for Hunter to move up to it and wrestle Long at 125, or the other way around?

As for 184, my thoughts were that they wanted one of Jerome Ward or Phillip Hawes at that weight. But both are at 197 now, and Gadsen is a year away so we are tossing Riley into the fire.

The match I hope to see an upset in is 157. Go Weatherman. He has really picked it up the past few duals. Also, I hope Gibson pins Rasing. A lot of Hawk fans think Rasing will walk over Gibson. They also think Ward will lose, which I don't see happening.

Well initially the thought was that Valles was going to be back to wrestle 133 and Long at 125....Hunter was an after thought after Long was suspended and Hunter didn't get admitted to Wisconsin.... Now if Long does make it back he may wrestle 133 which would make sense because 133 is definately our weakest weight w/ 184 close behind....next year should get better having Ryak @ 125, probably Long/Hunter/Jones @ 133, Goettl at 141, Cozart @ 149, Weatherman @ 157, Moreno @ 165, Spangler @ 174, Gadsen @ 184, Ward @ 197 and Gibson @ HWT.....

Next years lineup looks good especially if Long comes back....
