I do have a question here. Things like this do not happen overnight. How long has this been going on?

Iowa football: Derrell Johnson-Koulianos arrested on drug charges | Hawk Central This article has a lot more info.

It looks like his roommate was the one selling, but DJK admitted to the cops he knew about it, and also admitted to doing cocaine. And there were "digital media" (I'm guessing cell phone pictures or something like that) of him doing drugs.

Smart guy, obviously. He'll probably end up getting most of it dropped since the roommate was the one selling, but I still don't see how he'll avoid some jail time. And no way he is in the bowl game.

He created it, he made his profile a fanpage.

I'm shocked they let him keep it so long with some of the talk on there the past few weeks, after the Minny game when he didn't start it was hilarious.
Ohh, alright. I wonder if I make mine a fanpage, I can get more hot girls to add me??

Probably was doing it when we played them, hell the hole team seemed "high" during our game and their game with MSU.

On the road...
Well at least the name DJGAY will work now, with all the pounding he will take in the Johnson County Jail.

yes, Mr. Discipline, Kurt Ferentz, will make sure that he's somehow eligible for the bowl game. I can almost hear the "he was framed and it's his roommates stash" now.

I would spin it this way: "We all saw the uproar surrounding the Cam Newton situation. DJK just thought a crack house was the route to take." I'll paraphrase Alvin Mack, "The NCAA don't allow jobs and you can't live on no $400 a month scholarship money"

John Miller posted on hawknation as well. Still sticking his nose up Ferentz's ***

Ah yes, Mr. Jon Miller. If Ferentz stopped short Miller's neck would be broken. The same Mr. Objectivity that predicted a two touchdown victory over MN.

Let's not forget, this is the same university that swept football players sexual assaults (allegedly) under the rug. Which long term university employee will be the fall guy this time?

What I find crazy about this is all the fans saying "see, Kirk knew what he was doing!" If he knew the kid was running drugs out of his house, or knew was doing his best Rush Limbaugh impression getting loaded up on pain meds-- maybe a suspension would have been wiser than sitting him out of the first drive of the last game. Maybe he didn't know exactly what was going on, but holding him out of the starting lineup for the Minnesota game should tell you something.

I have been hearing rumors out and about IC that he was a fan of the white stuff... Never thought much of it until now... what a dumb a**

This is sadly not a surprise to me.

I was not going to share this online as it was in the past but once i read about the arrest, you might as well pile it on.

I was on the receiving end of a hit and run by him in Iowa City in 2008, the fine young man decided to return once he realized his front Ohio license plate decided to fall out in the accident (luckily). He said it was an 'emergency' when he left the scene.... Makes you wonder what he was doing for those 15 minutes while he was gone.

I'll just say he was not the most pleasant person when i was refusing to give him the license plate before the police arrived.

Unlike past experiences with FB players and IC PD, they decided to not charge him with anything. I was fine with this as I just lucked out because of the whole license plate incident and the fact that he had insurance.

Karma is a wonderful thing sometimes.
