I find it very hard to believe that the football staff didn't know that DJK was living with a guy with multiple drug convictions, and I would guess that the reason(s) DJK was perpetually in the doghouse were because of failed/refused drug tests.

Why would the staff not move the guy somewhere? Can they not do that?

Didn't they move him into the "ghost room" awhile back?

Do you REALLY think he was going to graduate?

He, along with all the other seniors, are/were supposedly on track to graduate. Whatever that means.

Apparently not...

As for the doghouse statement...yeah, that's what some of the rumors are.

On the road...
Can we allow THH back on here for a minute so he can tell me how crazy I was for suggesting there was more of a coke culture in IC than Ames?

And as far as DJGAY, I've heard from a lot of people that it's a pretty accurate moniker.

I only speak the truth Al. I heard the same thing two years ago and have called him that ever since.

As an Iowa fan I'm extremely disappointed and embarrassed. DJK was always a player that seemed to be in the doghouse because of his smart mouth and not practicing hard all the time. But he always showed up on Saturday and was our best receiver for four years. I always thought he seemed like a good kid who liked the spotlight. I never would have thought he was mixed up in all of this.

I wish him the best, but like Paulie in Goodfellas, I have to turn my back on him now. Most Iowa fans feel the same way at this time and don't want him back for the bowl game, not that it would happen anyways as Ferentz would never allow him back on the team.

I feel especially bad for his parents. He came from a bad place, was taken in by the Koulianos family, and for all his issues, had a great shot at making something of himself. Now what?

The kid obviously has many problems, he may have thrown away his future. It's just sad. People that laugh at, or find pleasure in something like this are insensitive at the very least. The fact it happened in Iowa City and not Ames shouldn't be a reason for acting like a *******.

If we are talking about someone where something happens our of their control then I agree. But if you are months away from getting drafted and making some serious coin and purposely put yourself in this situation, you deserve all the **** that gets thrown at you. And yes, I would say the same thing if it happened in Ames as well as Iowa City.
