I forgot the Canadian's name Kim or Khem or Khim Burch or Birch. He led the Canadian under 18 this past summer and is from Montreal. Real quiet kid with very loud game.
Not sure about Ejims ties to Canada, but might be a good look to try and get him.
The other guy on the Canadian squad is Sim Bhullar - Supposed to be a giant, but I don't know anything other than that about him. I thin Sim is like 7'2 or 7'3.

We have recruited one Canadian player in the last few years, and that is Ejim. We are by no means a pipeline to get the best of the best from that country. The big boys will come in and get who they want.

I like what ISU is doing on the recruiting front. They are going after high major recruits that have gaps to fill in their games but high ceilings. I still find it funny that McCaffrey is basically banking on landing guys like Paige and Perry Ellis(who I believe already eliminated Iowa) to get the Hawks back on track. I think he believes he took a better job than he did.

Perry Ellis is probably KU bound. It's def nice to see that we are competing against big time school for talents, not against mid majors anymore :)

Why do you say Fran is banking on guys like Paige and Ellis? He has multiple offers out to other players without the accolades. He's not just waiting for guys he has no chance at.

According to kcprephoops, Cauley is already getting attention from CFH. This particular site believes that cauley will be a better player in the long run than Perry Ellis out of Wichita who is getting a lot of attention nationwide. Cauley has been flying well under the radar even here in Olathe where he is now playing his HS ball.

"in our rankings of Kansas City area players, we placed Cauley ahead of Perry Ellis for long-term upside. And we heard a lot of disagreement from fans and some coaches. Based on his potential and ability to make an impact at the collegiate level, we believe he has the potential to be a big-time player (just like Ellis does), and we like his size as the real differentiator. It’s still early in the basketball life of Willie Cauley, but his raw talent, desire and coachability tell us he should be considered one of the top centers in the 2012 class."

good thread. i'm not a fan of tokoto - he was really hyped a few years ago and played poorly this summer, according to reports. i'm sure he'll still be a major BCS caliber recruit, but he's not a program-changer type.

hopefully we can get some 2012 guys on campus for some good b12 games in Hilton this winter.

I didn't realize you are in KC. I used to be. What ever happened to Reece Holiday from Sumner having interest in ISU? The other two from Sumner, Parker and Allen I liked a lot a couple years ago, from ESPN it looks like Parker has progressed a little bit more, but I have a lot of respect for the Sumner program and the class of kids playing there.

Do you know if Rutter has any ties to Rufus King and a chance to pull Arroyo as well from Wisconsin? To be completely honest, I live in Michigan but I get over to Wisconsin with my brother living in Madison, and I like Wisc basketball more than Mich right now. The boys from Pershing and Romulus look good, but the discipline they play against is pretty poor and it doesn't seem to be as high quality of a measure as the kids from Wisconsin we have a shot at.

Morgan at W.Y. in Chicago is for real. I try and get to W.Y. or a Proviso game every year and I really like Morgan. I'd like to see ISU go after him more. A friend in NJ told me about Anderson and he really, really likes him. It be nice to see if ISU can even enter the conversation for him.

The last guy is the kid from S.C. Jones I just happened to stumble upon on a vacation this summer. I know he is flying a little under the radar down there and he is another I would love to see if ISU can enter the conversation for him. I have to say, I think so much more is possible with Fred in town. I don't know where Lutz pulled most of his talent, but I hope he had some S.C. ties.
