I think you overshot on your CR/IC estimates. Linn & Johnson only combine for 302,707.

I did because Wikipedia said CR had 128,000 proper and 255,000 metro, so I added the 149,000 IC-Coralville-North Liberty (Wiki again) metro to the CR metro... ahh how do numbers work?!?!

I'm guessing there is a lot of overlap between the two "metros"

Edit: I figured it out, Iowa State University only recognizes each hawkeye as 5/8ths of a person
