Wow, pretty impressive for Tubby Smith to make all 25 as well before losing in a tiebreaker. Should be a pretty epic battle with Alford.

It looks like the winner of this round will be the front runner for the title. They are the only two that have yet to miss, so they will have the tie breaker over all the remaining competitors.

If they both remain perfect they will have a shoot off for the win. Who will blink first?

Alford will win because he's probably practicing right now.

Side note: Elwyn McRoy has also advanced to the Elite Eight in the Assistant Coaches bracket. McRoy has only missed one shot so far in the contest.

Did Fred Make him run stairs at Hilton when he missed that one free throw?

This is a tough matchup. Alfraud is one of the best FT shooters in NCAA history.

He will choke. I keep picturing his Iowa team against Northwestern State in the NCAA tournament and figure he will follow in his team's glorious example.

Facing Steve Alford, who has also made all 75 of his shots, in the next round.

Alford's college FT% was 89.7; Hoiberg's was 84.4.

Shooting 85% for your college career is very impressive. Shooting 90% is plain crazy, not many have ever done that. Rick Barry always shot around 90% from the line, year in and year out like clock work. How many of you remember his granny shot style free throws?

I prefer to avoid ridiculing other teams for NCAA chokejobs. Not sure why.

LOL. I get what you're saying, but it seems sometimes that about half the posters on here would nuke Iowa City if they could, so anything we can laugh at them it's worth it, right?

Hamp-ton

I still enjoy watching other people choke, I just make sure to take my lumps when they mention Hampton.

Also, I'm well aware of the Sarcasm in the quote.

Do they have a representative from the hearts watching them shoot these free throws when they video tape them??? Cause I wouldn't put it past alford to just keep filming the video over and over until he makes 25 in a row.
